The new contactor experiences ultra-low power loss, with a contact resistance slightly over 100μΩ, thus exhibiting 2-3 times lower contact warming than competitor products.
Capable of handling up to 1.5 MW, the C303 ensures efficient power management for high switching performance.
There are three design options to choose from:
- With economiser – The C303 can be supplied with a PWM economiser fitted to the side of the main housing. This will enable a 9.6-32V wide range of control voltages to drive the actuating coil and minimise the required holding current.
- High Efficiency Drive (HED) – The coil signals is used to directly drive the actuating coil. This means the voltage range is more limited, 20.4V-26.4V and the holding current is higher.
- Pre-charge version – This variant of the C303 is intended for short duration pre-charge applications. It has a simpler coil that turns on/off as in option 2 but has a limited duty, so can only be switched for short periods.
The compact design and seamless integration of the C303 make it a perfect fit for space-constrained environments. Its bi-directional capability caters to a wide array of applications, including regenerative systems, DC charging stations, battery testing benches, stationary energy storage solutions, and electric vehicles.
