Overview
Asymmetric Integrated Gate Commutated Thyristors (IGCTs) provide efficient, reliable power control with simplified thermal management. Pressed onto heat-sinks that double as electrical contacts, they ensure excellent heat dissipation and long-term reliability.
The integrated turn-on/off control unit connects easily via optical fiber and requires only an external power supply, making your system more compact and energy efficient.
With low conduction losses and fast switching, IGCTs deliver high performance for both steady-state and high-frequency applications.

Detail
IGCTs allow precise, seamless turn-on and turn-off control, supporting typical switching around 500 hertz and short pulse bursts up to 40 kHz. Unlike traditional GTOs, turn-off protection is optional, simplifying your circuit design. A turn-on protective network controls current rise, giving you flexibility without compromising performance. IGCTs combine efficiency, reliability, and control simplicity to optimize your power applications and reduce energy loss.
