Low voltage or high voltage

Low power units (<5kW) are grouped as either high voltage (up to 30kV) or low voltage (<650V).  High power units are available from 3kW to 250kW.

EVO 2U Series

The EVO series of programmable high voltage power supplies is a range of versatile power supplies at a competitive price. They offer class-leading stability and accuracy and use the latest power electronics techniques to deliver 2kW and 3kW outputs in 2U form factor. Remote programming is achieved via RS-232 or Ethernet. Front panel controls are simple and the interface is intuitive to use. EVO units are suitable for research in the analytical, industrial, automotive and light engineering sectors.

Compared to an equivalent 3kW regulated DC power supply, the EVO is approximately half the weight, half the size and delivers double the stability of line and load regulation – for a lower price.  A 14-day, no obligation trial period is available for customers to test the units.

Genesys Programmable Power Supplies

The Genesys series of 10kW and 15kW programmable DC power supplies is now available with output voltages of up to 1500V. These new models have the same dimensions as the existing 7.5V to 600V models – 19” wide and 3U high.  The units can operate in either constant current or constant voltage modes and accept either three-phase 400V AC or 440V AC inputs.

  • Output isolation up to 1500V

Genesys power supplies

Advanced Master/Slave Mode

Higher-power systems can be configured using the master/slave parallel operating mode which configures the master unit to be the single point for programming, measurement and status of the total current of the paralleled system. Consequently, up to four units can operate as a single 60kW power supply.

Digital Interface

The entire Genesys family supports 16-bit RS-232/RS-485 Multi-Drop digital interface, allowing up to 31 power supplies to be controlled in a daisy-chain over the RS-485 communication line. Other optional interfaces include:

  • LXI Class C compliant LAN
  • IEEE (IEEE488.2 and SCPI-compliant) Multi-Drop digital interfaces
  • Selection of instrument drivers such as NI LabVIEW and NI LabWindows. Isolated analogue programming/monitor interface options use 0-5V/0-10V or 4-20mA control.

Safety Features

Safety features included are:

  • Safe Start – power supply returns to its last operational setting configuration after a power interruption but with the output disabled
  • Auto Re-start – power supply returns to the last used operation settings after a power interruption
  • Last Setting Memory – retains settings such as the Output voltage/current, Output ON/OFF, OVP/UVL level, Foldback and Start-Up mode at each AC Input turn-off sequence
  • Built-in protective functions – e.g. over voltage protection (OVP), under voltage limit (UVL), fold-back protection (FOLD) and over-temperature (OTP) protection.

All units are shipped with a 5-year warranty.
